Looking back on my team project from start to finish, I definitely had some parts where I did really well and some parts that were more challenging.

Two of the best parts of my work process were taking initiative and staying on top of my work. I feel like I helped move the project along, especially in the beginning, because I worked on most of the first part and made sure we had something to build off of. I didn’t want us to fall behind, so I just went ahead and got things started. I also made sure I finished my parts on time, even when things got stressful, which helped keep everything on track.

On the other hand, there were some weaker parts too. One of the biggest challenges for me was working online as a team. It’s just harder to communicate when everything is through messages, and sometimes people don’t respond or things get confusing. It didn’t always feel organized, and that made it harder to know what everyone was doing. Another issue was relying on other people to complete their parts, especially things like the interview. At one point, I had already done most of one section, and we were still waiting on other parts to be finished, which made things stressful and a little frustrating.

Another challenge I faced was during the presentation part of the project. My microphone on my computer was not working, which made it difficult for me to record a video presentation. Because of that, I had to adjust and create a written script to go along with my slides instead. Even though it wasn’t the original plan, I still made sure to complete the assignment in a way that showed my effort and understanding.

This experience is definitely going to affect how I work in teams in the future. I learned that communication is really important, especially when everything is online. Next time, I would try to be more clear from the beginning about who is doing what and maybe check in more often so things don’t fall behind. I also learned that being flexible is important because things don’t always go as planned, like with my microphone issue. Overall, this project helped me see what I’m good at, but also what I need to improve on, especially when it comes to working with others in an online setting.
